FAQ

Licensing, updates, customization, apps, accessibility, and code changes.

Is Millwright the final name?

Not yet. Millwright is the parent theme name candidate and Girder, Manifold, Trestle, Rafter, and Conduit are the preset name candidates. Theme Store names have to be unique across every listed theme and preset, so availability is re-checked immediately before submission. If a name has to change, the theme, its settings, and its sections do not.

Are customization services included in the price?

No. Customization services are not included in the theme cost. Any paid customization work is arranged separately, is charged separately, and is not covered by the theme price or by theme support.

What does theme support cover?

Setting the theme up, using its settings and sections, and fixing faults in the theme itself. It does not cover custom code, third party apps, or work on a theme whose code has been edited.

Where do I get updates?

Through the Shopify Theme Store, the same way you got the theme. Updates do not overwrite an edited theme automatically, which is another reason to keep customizations in a duplicate.

How many stores does one license cover?

One Shopify store. You can preview and build on development stores without a second license.

Do I need an app for volume pricing?

The theme displays volume pricing and quantity rules that your variants already carry. Applying a quantity discount to guests and ordinary logged in customers needs a discount app, because a theme cannot ship discount logic. Batten Volume Discounts is the companion built for this, and its free plan is enough to prove it.

Does the theme work with app blocks?

Yes. App blocks work in the main product section and in the featured product section, and any section that accepts theme blocks accepts app blocks too.

What happens without JavaScript?

The variant picker falls back to a plain select, cart controls stay real forms posting to the cart route, facet filtering stays a normal form submission, and search stays a normal search form. The store is usable, just less smooth.

Is the catalog crawlable with infinite scroll on?

Yes. Numbered pagination links stay in the document in every pagination mode, so search engines can walk the catalog even when shoppers never see a page two link.

Is the theme accessible?

It is built to WCAG 2.2 AA: a skip link, a real main landmark, visible focus rings, 44 pixel tap targets, paired foreground and background color settings on every scheme, and motion that never starts under reduced motion.

Can I edit the code?

Yes, and it is Liquid, CSS, and JavaScript with no build step. Duplicate the theme first. Once a theme's code is edited, theme support covers the unedited theme rather than your copy.
