Settings reference
Every setting on all six blocks, and what each one changes.
All six blocks share three source modes and a common set of layout settings. What differs is which metafield shape each block reads.
Spec table
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Source | Separate metafields, one metaobject, or a list of metaobjects. |
| Rows | One line per row, written as label, then namespace and key, with an optional third part for a unit suffix. For example Weight, specs.weight, approx. |
| Metaobject metafield | Used when the source is one metaobject or a list. Points at the metafield holding the reference. |
| Field keys | Which metaobject fields supply the label, value, and unit. Defaults are label, value, unit. |
| Show column labels | Adds a header row with two column labels you set. |
| Show rows with no value | Off hides a row whose metafield is empty. On keeps the row with an empty second cell. |
| Striped rows | Alternating row background from the theme's surface color. |
| Compact spacing | Tightens row padding for long tables. |
| Maximum width | Caps the table width in pixels. The table scrolls inside its own container on narrow screens rather than making the page scroll sideways. |
Accordion group
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Source | List of metaobjects, or separate metafields. |
| Rows metafield | The metaobject list to repeat over. |
| Field keys | Which metaobject fields supply the row title and content. Defaults are title and content. |
| Rows | Used with separate metafields. One line per row, written as a label followed by a namespace and key. |
| Open the first row | The first row starts open on page load. |
| Open one row at a time | Opening a row closes the others in browsers that support the exclusive accordion. Older browsers leave both open, which is the intended fallback. |
The accordion is built from native details and summary elements. It is keyboard operable and works with JavaScript disabled, because the block ships none.
Nutrition facts panel
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Source | One panel metaobject, or separate metafields. |
| Panel metafield | The metaobject reference holding the whole panel. |
| Nutrients metafield | Used with separate metafields. A metaobject list of nutrient rows. |
| Serving size, servings per container, calories | Typed into the block when the source is separate metafields. |
| Footnote | Free text under the heavy rule. |
Nutrient rows with indented set to true indent and lose the bold name treatment. The daily value column is right aligned and carries a percent suffix.
Downloads list
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Source | File metafields, or a list of metaobjects. |
| Files | One line per entry, written as a namespace and key followed by a label. A file list metafield renders one row per file. |
| Documents metafield | Used with the metaobject source, so each row can carry a name, file, and file size. |
| Show file type | Renders the extension in capitals, for example PDF. |
File size is only available through the metaobject source. Shopify's file object does not expose a size for a plain file metafield.
Feature badges
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Source | Text list metafield, or a list of metaobjects. |
| Badges metafield | The metafield or metaobject list to read. |
| Field keys | Which metaobject fields supply the label, icon, and caption. |
| Columns on desktop | How many badges sit across a row. Mobile drops to two. |
| Icon size | Pixel size of the badge image. |
Badge images carry an alt attribute from the badge label, plus width, height, and lazy loading, so the row does not shift as images arrive.
Variant description
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Variant metafield | The variant level metafield holding the copy. |
| Product metafield to fall back to | Shown when the selected variant has no value. |
| Reserved height | Holds space open so switching between a one line and a four line description does not move the add to cart button. |
The block ships one small script. It listens for URL changes, history navigation, form input changes, and the common theme variant change events, and swaps copy with no network request.
Plan gating
The Free plan includes the spec table block. The other five blocks appear in the theme editor on Pro. Layout, color, and spacing settings are not gated on either plan, and neither is the number of products, collections, or pages a block can appear on.
