Pricing
What the free tier covers, what Pro adds, and how the licence key works.
The plugin itself is free on the Framer Marketplace. Pro is bought from Batten.
That is not a preference. Framer does not process, collect, hold, or disburse payments for plugins, so a paid Framer plugin means a free listing plus the developer's own licensing.
The two tiers
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $19 a month, or $199 once |
| Gated pages | 1 | Unlimited |
| Members | 25 | Unlimited |
| Plans | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Magic link sign in | Yes | Yes |
| All four components | Yes | Yes |
| Member gate on sections | Yes | Yes |
One gated page and twenty five members is deliberately enough to build a real flow and launch a small site. The limit arrives at the second gated page, by which point you have already seen the thing work.
Where the limit is enforced
On the server, checked on every gate change and every member invite. Editing the plugin bundle in a browser does not lift it. The plugin applies the same rules in its own interface so it can disable a control and tell you why before you click, rather than letting the request fail.
Opening a page back up to the public is always allowed, even when a project is over its limit. You can never get stuck with a site you cannot unlock.
Unlocking Pro
- Buy on the Batten checkout and receive a licence key.
- Paste it into the plugin's Settings tab.
- The plugin sends the key to the members service. The plugin never talks to the payment provider itself.
- The service activates the key on first use, binding it to that project, and validates it against that binding on every later check. One licence covers one site.
Your tier, licence status, and expiry are stored against the project. The plugin only ever sees the resulting tier.
If a licence lapses
An expired or disabled licence drops the project back to Free at the next check. Nothing is deleted. Gated pages and members above the free limit stay in place and keep working, and only new ones are refused. Downgrading a paying customer into a broken site would be the wrong behavior.
Refunds
Fourteen days on the Pro licence, no questions asked. The refund policy covers the rest.
What is not sold yet
Members cannot pay for their own plan. In this version plans are data: you assign them by hand, or when you invite someone. Member facing checkout is the first item on the roadmap.
