Framer plugin
Coming soonBatten Members
Member only pages and sections for a Framer site, with magic link sign in and no code.
Free, Pro $19 a month or $199 once
Framer gives you a beautiful site. Batten Members gives it a front door.
Turn any page or section into member only content without writing code. The plugin lists every page in your project and lets you set each one to public, members only, or one plan only. Four components do the rest.
- Login form. An email field that sends a magic link and signs the visitor in when they follow it.
- Member gate. Wrap a section and it shows only to a signed in member. Set a fallback for everyone else, or redirect them to your sign in page.
- Member profile. Name, email, plan, and a sign out link.
- Logout button.
Every component is a real Framer code component with property controls, so it is styled in the right hand panel like anything else on the canvas.
How it works
Members are stored in a hosted members service rather than in your CMS, so your member list never ends up in your published site bundle. Sign in is an email magic link. Access decisions are made on the server, never in the browser.
On the canvas a member gate always renders its children, so the section stays editable. The gate applies in Preview and on the published site.
Managing members
The Members tab lists everyone with search, lets you invite by email, assign a plan, and revoke access. Revoking takes effect on the next page load, not whenever a token happens to expire.
Accessibility
The login form labels its input, moves focus to the status message when a link is sent and back to the field on an error, and states errors in text rather than color alone.
Not in this version
Members cannot pay for their own plan yet. In the first version, plans are assigned by you, from the Members tab or when you invite someone. Member checkout is the next thing being built, and the roadmap says what follows it.
Framer does not process payments for plugins, so the plugin is listed free and Pro is bought from Batten and unlocked with a licence key.
Features
What it does
- Gate any page from a list
- The plugin lists every page in your Framer project and lets you set each one to public, members only, or limited to a single plan. No page settings to hunt through and no code to paste.
- Magic link sign in
- Members type their email and follow a link. No passwords to choose, no passwords to reset, and nothing for you to store.
- Four real code components
- A login form, a member gate you wrap around a section, a member profile, and a logout button. Each one drops onto the canvas with its keys already filled in.
- Styled with property controls
- Colors, labels, radius, padding, and spacing are all editable in Framer's right hand panel, so the sign in page looks like the rest of the site rather than bolted on.
- Decided on the server
- Access is resolved on the server and the browser only renders the answer. A visitor cannot open the console and let themselves in, and your member list never ends up in the published site bundle.
- A members list you can work
- Search, invite by email, assign a plan, and revoke access. Revoking takes effect on the next page load rather than whenever a token happens to expire.
